"MARVEL" fans may not have to wait as long to see Loki Season 2 as they’d believed. The series ended its freshman run in the summer of 2021 with the announcement that it would be returning for another round of multiversal adventures, making it Marvel’s first Disney+ show to be renewed for a second season. But in the months since it was announced, Marvel fans have gotten almost no word about Loki Season 2.
Marvel and Disney+ have now announced that Moon Knight directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will be taking over for the second season of Loki.
According to "Deadline", the two directors will co-direct most of the episodes of the upcoming follow-up to the critically acclaimed first season revolving around the God of Mischief, with original showrunner Michael Waldron pivoting to executive producer. Tom Hiddleston is set to reprise his role as the titular character while Owen Wilson has just confirmed his return as Time Variance Authority agent Mobius as well.
There’s currently no release date yet for the second season of Loki, although Wilson revealed that filming will begin soon, so fans of the MCU should definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.
