Air Carriers to Increase Flight Frequencies to Georgia

  • Emirati budget airline FlyDubai is going to add 19 additional Dubai-Tbilisi-Dubai flights in the period of 15-25 July;
  • Qatar Airways is going to add 3 more Doha-Tbilisi-Doha flights a week (making it 10 flights a week) in the period from 1 July to 11 September;
  • From 1 July to 29 August, Uzbekistan Airways is going to add 1 additional Tashkent-Tbilisi-Tashkent flight a week, making it 3 flights a week;
  • Kazakh low-cost airline&nbsp;<a href="https://georgianjournal.ge/news/37006-low-cost-airline-flyarystan-to-enter-georgia.html" target="_blank">FlyArystan</a>&nbsp;is going to add 1 additional Nursultan-Kutaisi-Nursultan flight a week (making it a total of 3 flights a week) from 20 June to 24 October. In addition, Kazakh air carrier is going to increase the number of Aktau-Kutaisi-Aktau flights from 5 July to 25 October, making it 4 flights a week (instead of 3);
  • Belarusian air carrier&nbsp;Belavia&nbsp;is going to significantly increase the number of its Minsk-Batumi-Minsk flights from 1 July to 12 September, by adding 4 additional flight a week (making a total of 18 flights a week);
  • Ukrainian low-cost carrier&nbsp;SkyUp&nbsp;Airlines is going to add 1 additional Odesa-Batumi-Odesa flight a week, making it 3 flights a week from 24 June to 28 October; According to GCAA, the aforementioned air carriers have already been granted permission to increase the number of flights.
We remind you that air traffic is recovering at a relatively fast pace in Georgia. For example, according to GCAA, 53% of destinations have already been restored so far and 58% of air carriers operating in the country before the pandemic have already returned to the Georgian aviation market.
