Milan's Menswear Fashion Week might have been a little quieter than usual, with some designers including Giorgio Armani opting to cancel their shows altogether due to Coronavirus concerns, but Prada ensured that the week ended with a bang – and a good few surprise cameos from some of Hollywood's biggest stars.
For Prada's second-ever live show since Raf Simons joined Miuccia Prada as co-creative director, no fewer than 10 Hollywood actors hit the runway to showcase the new collection – promptly sending the internet into a minor meltdown.
Opening the show was the brilliant Kyle MacLachlan, best known for his lead role in Twin Peaks and, of course, playing the unfortunate Trey MacDougal in Sex And The City. He opened the show in a long overcoat layered over a shiny, powder-blue jumpsuit and matching gloves. He wore his silvery hair swept back and strode down the runway with a steely expression.
Other Hollywood stars to make cameos on the Prada AW22 runway were Thomas Brodie-Sangster (of Love Actually and The Queen's Gambit fame) and British Sex Education actor Asa Butterfield, as well as Damson Idris, Tom Mercier, Jaden Michael, Louis Partridge, Ashton Sanders, and Filippo Scotti – while the legendary Jeff Goldblum closed the show in a fashion-forward, shearling-trimmed all-black look.
