Community Guidelines

What is and is not allowed on Feedc, how to report something, and what happens next.

Feedc is a public place to share news and what is happening where you live. These rules apply to posts, replies, polls, photos, videos, profiles and usernames. They apply alongside our Terms of Service. They are published in English only.

Spam or scams. No repeated or misleading posting, fake offers, fraud, phishing, or attempts to get money or sign-in details from people.

Harassment or bullying. No targeting a person with insults, threats of embarrassment, repeated unwanted contact or encouraging others to pile on. Disagreeing with people and criticising public figures for what they do in public is fine.

Hate speech. No attacking or demeaning people because of ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics.

Violence or threats. No threats, calls for violence, or praise of violence against anyone. Reporting on violent events is allowed when it informs people rather than celebrates harm. Do not post gory images without a clear news reason.

Nudity or sexual content. No pornography or sexually explicit material. Non-sexual nudity is allowed in news, health and art when the context is clear. Anything sexual involving a child is never allowed; we remove it and may pass it to the authorities.

Private information shared without permission. No sharing someone’s home address, phone number, private documents, private photos or exact location without a lawful reason. Remember that the place on your post is public, and that photos can reveal people and places.

Illegal content. No content or activity that breaks the law, including selling illegal goods.

Other people’s work and accounts. Only post what you have the right to post. Do not pretend to be another person or organisation, and do not try to get into someone else’s account or disrupt the service.

Use Report on the post, reply or profile and choose the reason that fits best: spam or a scam, harassment or bullying, hate speech, violence or threats, nudity or sexual content, private information shared without permission, or something else.

If Report is not available, or if something breaks the law or puts someone at risk, email its link to Feedc support. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

A report hides that item for you straight away. Reporting a profile hides that profile and its posts for you. A report does not by itself remove anything for everyone. If you just do not want to see someone, you can block them instead; blocking and reporting are separate.

People at Feedc review reports and make the decisions. A fixed list of words keeps some posts, imported or new, out of feeds, place pages, search and tag pages. They stay on their link and on their author’s profile, and the author is told when they post. Apart from that, Feedc does not use automated moderation at launch. We look at the content, the reason given and the law that applies.

Depending on what we find, we may leave the content up, remove it, or limit or suspend the account. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to an account being closed. Reporting something does not guarantee it will be removed.

Email Feedc support with a link to the content or the name of the account and tell us why you think we got it wrong. Any legal rights you have to notice, reasons or challenge remain available.

If we make a material change to these rules, we will update this page.
