The Emmy Awards, sometimes known as the Emmys, are a broad series of honors given to the American and international television industries for artistic and technical excellence. A number of annual Emmy Award ceremonies are held throughout the calendar year, each with their own set of rules and award categories.
It's that time: The 2024 Emmy nominations, recognizing the very best of primetime television, have been announced.
If it seems like we just saw the Primetime Emmys being broadcast, well, you're right. The 2023 ceremony was postponed due to the actors' and writers' strikes in Hollywood. The 75th Emmy Awards just aired in January 2024 withThe Bear, Beef and Succession as the big winners.
This year's awards ceremony — set to broadcast live Sept. 15 on ABC — covers TV excellence in the period of June 1, 2023, to May 31, 2024. Favorites for this year's nominations again include The Bear as well as Shōgun (FX), The Crown (Netflix), Fallout (Prime Video) and Baby Reindeer (Netflix).
There has been no announcement yet as to who will host the Emmys ceremony.
