First patient treated in Leiden company's clinical trial with possible Covid-19 medicine

Pharming, a biotechnology company based in Leiden, has launched its clinical trial for a medicine that could be effective in treating Covid-19, the respiratory disease caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. The first of 150 patients has started treatment with Ruconest, the company announced on Monday. Pharming is working with th University Hospital Basel in Switzerland for this clinical trial.
